David Torres, MSN, PMHNP-BC

About DavidHi, I’m David.

If you’re facing mental health challenges and ready to move forward, I’m here to help. I provide comprehensive medication management and therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, with an emphasis on building genuine, trusting relationships. My background gives me a strong understanding of the unique stressors faced by military families, healthcare professionals, first responders, and special needs caregivers. My clinical experience includes the treatment of ADHD, treatment-resistant depression, anxiety disorders, sleep disorders, PTSD, and Autism Spectrum Disorder. I take a holistic, evidence-based approach and strongly value collaborative, team-based care centered on each client’s goals.

My work is shaped not only by clinical training, but also by lived experience.

Growing up, I experienced the loss of two siblings and witnessed firsthand the lasting impact of grief on a family. During my 18 years of service in the United States Air Force, I experienced the loss of teammates in combat, training operations, and to suicide. As the father of a daughter with autism, I understand the realities of special needs parenting and caregiver strain. I began my medical career in 2004 in emergency medicine and later critical care before transitioning into psychiatry. I am passionate about helping others and believe in clearly explaining the rationale behind each treatment plan so clients feel informed and empowered.
