Hi! I’m Mary SIms, LCPC.
Life can feel overwhelming at times, especially when you’re trying to balance the needs of others while managing your own expectations, responsibilities, and emotions. Maybe you find yourself overthinking, struggling with anxiety, feeling burned out, or putting pressure on yourself to get everything right. You may know what you want to change but find yourself falling into the same patterns. Whatever brings you to therapy, you don’t have to navigate it all on your own.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Salisbury University and my master’s degree in clinical psychology from Towson University. Through my experience working with individuals and families in a variety of settings, I have developed a passion for helping people better understand themselves, navigate life’s challenges, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and tailored to you.
I strive to create a space where you can show up as you are, without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Together, we can explore the experiences and patterns that may be keeping you stuck, build a deeper understanding of your needs, and develop tools that help you feel more confident and grounded in your everyday life.
I draw from a variety of therapeutic approaches to meet your unique needs and goals. Whether you are navigating anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD-related challenges, burnout, difficulties with boundaries, or relationship stress, our work will focus on helping you better understand yourself and find strategies that feel realistic and sustainable.
I believe therapy is not about becoming a different person or fixing something that is wrong with you. It’s about learning to approach yourself with greater compassion, recognizing the patterns that no longer serve you, and making room for a life that feels more aligned with who you are and what matters to you.
You deserve a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood. My goal is to walk alongside you as you work toward greater self-awareness, healthier relationships, and a stronger sense of balance and confidence in your life.
