What are your hours?

We are by appointment only and offer a variety of appointment times, including nights and weekends. As you can imagine, appointments after regular working hours fill up the fastest and aren’t always available.

Many clients can slip out for an hour or so during the day, particularly for telehealth appointments. Some people show up to work an hour early, stay an hour late or eat lunch in session.

If needed, we are happy to provide you with a note excusing you from work or school.

How long are the sessions?
Most sessions are 50-55 minutes. Longer sessions are available for self-pay clients if needed.
How do I pay you?
Cash and check are our preferred payment methods, but we also accept credit cards. You can even use your HSA card.
Do you accept insurance?

Most of our clinicians are in-network with CareFirst and Blue Cross Blue Shield. We are out-of-network with all other plans. If you have out-of-network benefits, we are happy to provide you with a monthly Superbill to submit to your insurance company to obtain reimbursement. If you are unsure about your health plan’s claim procedure, I encourage you to contact your insurance company.

It’s important to know that by choosing to use your insurance benefits, your clinician must provide a diagnosis of your mental health condition. Insurance may also dictate the frequency and duration of sessions.

How do I set up an initial appointment?
It’s Easy Peezy, Lemon Squeezy. Just call us, send an email or fill out this contact form.
What is your cancellation policy?

We require 48-hour notice for a cancellation. If you cancel after 48 hours, you will receive a charge for the total out-of-pocket session fee not covered by insurance.

A credit card must be on file through our client portal to secure your first session.

Do you offer telehealth?

Yes. All our clinicians offer telehealth appointments. If you want to use this option, you can access our HIPAA-compliant platform through our client portal.

You will need a stable Internet connection and a private place to hold your session. Many clients also prefer using a headset. You are more than welcome to alternate between in-person and telehealth. Please give us a heads up, so we know where to find you when it’s time for your session.

Do you work with women? Men? Couples? Families? Teenagers? Kids?
Yes. Yes. Yes. We believe in healing our community and know that every person sometimes needs a little extra help. We are passionate about helping individuals and their families thrive.
What do you do in session with clients?

Sessions look different for every single client. Before going deeper into the root of what is going on in your life, sometimes, we may have a quick recap of your time between sessions. Other times, it looks like rolling out a yoga mat and delving into a deep meditation to find clarity.

Some sessions might involve art, EMDR, writing or breathing – you name it. We might even take a stroll through town if that is what you need that day. We know every client’s needs are different, and our commitment is to help you achieve your goals in the safest, most comfortable way possible.

What modalities do you use in your client work?
Because we are a group practice, we have different areas of expertise. Please check each clinician’s “About” page to learn more and see what sparks your interest.
What does a client need to know to make the most of working with you?
All you need is a desire to change. Motivation and commitment are fantastic, but sometimes, those expressions come with time – and some good therapy.
Do I have to wear shoes?
Shoes are optional. Although we love a rocking pair of heels, we kick ours off when we walk through the door, and you are welcome to do the same.
Is therapy worth it?
If you’ve made it this far down this list of questions, your intuition has led you to the right place, and it’s time to create the change. Stop doubting yourself, pick up the phone and see for yourself. You won’t regret it.
