Hi, I’m Susan.
Working with patients to help them with their behavioral health needs in the acute care setting has been my passion for over eight years. I enjoy clients’ transformations as they see the benefits of evidence-based treatment modalities working for them. My experience includes assisting patients with Anxiety, Depression, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Schizophrenia spectrum disorders, Substance Use Disorders, and other diagnoses that interfere with living one’s best life
My approach is holistic.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wesley College and completed a master’s in science – Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner from Walden University. I earned my board certification from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. As a trained Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I am skilled in psychiatric evaluation, assessment, diagnoses, patient and family education, psychotherapy across the lifespan, person-centered treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, and interdisciplinary referrals as needed. My approach is holistic, with aspects of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and humanistic theory to provide tools that help my clients in a compassionate, safe, nonjudgmental environment.
