– Hi! I’m Sasha. 🐝
I’m the founder of Bee Well. From a young age, I knew I wanted to help people, but I never dreamed of becoming a therapist.
After spending a year in Israel observing the deep-rooted effects of trauma on people’s lives, I made it my life’s mission to figure out how to genuinely help people heal from the hardest moments of their lives. For me, healing happened and everything changed when I learned to be present and connect my mind, body and spirit.
When I graduated from Salisbury University with my Master’s in Social Work, I knew I had to find a way to incorporate these techniques into my work with clients. I delved headfirst into another three-year training program to become a Certified – International Association of Yoga Therapist (C-IAYT). After 1,000+ hours of training, here I am.
My passion is in helping you live your most fulfilled life by overcoming the hardships holding you back. Whether that is the trauma you experienced as a child, a challenging life transition like a divorce or becoming a parent, the loss of a loved one, feeling held back at work or that near-death experience you somehow survived, I’m here to help you heal. After having two natural child births, I am most passionate about helping moms create the birthing experience they have always dreamed about. I love assisting moms in the postpartum journey to wellness and re-definine their identity as a mother.
I believe wholeheartedly in holistic healing.
On top of my Yoga Therapy certification, I am certified in Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is one of my favorite treatment modalities because it’s an incredibly effective, relatively fast way to treat trauma.
Thus far in my career, I have served as Clinical Supervisor in both an upscale inpatient substance abuse treatment center and a large, local outpatient mental health and rape crisis clinic.
My experience with children came though running a program for children whose behaviors were so intense they were at risk of being placed in foster care or residential treatment programs. I have counseled youth in detention centers and served as the District Social Worker for a local school board.
These years of experience in a wide array of areas come together to help support you and your family live the life you have been dreaming about.
